Motorist escapes plunge off Malibu Canyon Road, only to be struck by bus
A motorist who barely escaped driving off a precipice along Malibu Canyon Road was struck by a passing tour bus as he fled his teetering vehicle, according to authorities.
The Malibu-Lost Hills sheriff’s station responded to the accident on Malibu Canyon Road at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, according to a post on the Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station Facebook page. The male driver lost control of an SUV and nearly went over the side.

The driver became disoriented, exited the vehicle and was struck by a passing tour bus, authorities said.
“Fortunately for the man, he was conscious and breathing on our arrival,” the post read. The driver was transported to a hospital for treatment.
