Man and woman killed in South Los Angeles shooting
A shooting Saturday night left a man and a woman dead outside a liquor store in South Los Angeles, police said.
Two others were wounded and taken to a hospital after the attack, which occurred about 8:15 p.m. near 81st Street and Avalon Boulevard, said LAPD Sgt. Cory Meisner.
A witness described the incident to KTLA as a drive-by shooting, in which at least 13 shots were fired from a white vehicle.
“I ducked,” Eduard Emerson told the station. “As long as I can hear the gunshots, I’m alright. You can’t live but once.”
No suspects have been apprehended. Further details on the victims and circumstances surrounding the shooting were not available.
