Small plane crash lands near 405 Freeway in Long Beach
No injuries were reported, but traffic was snarled when a small plane crash landed Saturday afternoon near the 405 Freeway and Cherry Avenue in Long Beach, just south of Long Beach Airport.
The plane came to rest on the side of an embankment on the north side of the 405.
The on-ramps around Cherry and Orange avenues were temporarily closed while an investigation was underway.
