3 human adult-sized skulls found at Palmdale home
Three adult-sized human skulls were found at a home in Palmdale, authorities said Wednesday.
Huntington Beach police made the grim discovery Tuesday as officers executed a search warrant at the home in the 2500 block of East Avenue Q-4, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Det. Kevin Acebedo told KABC-TV the homeowner used the skulls for religious practice.
L.A. County coroner’s investigators recovered the skulls and will try to identify the remains.
However, identification will be difficult, coroner’s Lt. David Smith said.
Because coroner’s investigators don’t know the identities, they can’t request dental records. Investigators will have to rely heavily on DNA evidence, he said.
