Boat sinks off Marina Del Rey coast; 2 men rescued
Two men were rescued from the waters off the Marina Del Rey coast Wednesday night after their boat capsized.
The boat was outside the marina breakwater and somehow got tangled in a lobster net line after 7 p.m. and was taking on water, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
“When the deputies arrived, they saw the vessel ... capsize and saw two men jump into the water,” the Sheriff’s Department said.
The men were pulled aboard the deputies’ patrol boat and taken to safety. The boat sank in 15 feet of water.
