Simi Valley water main rupture could slow morning commute
A water main break in Simi Valley could mean delays for morning commuters.
All traffic westbound toward Tierra Rejada Road at Madera Road is being diverted by police, and northbound and southbound traffic on Madera should expect delays, said Simi Valley police Sgt. Jeff Dominick.
Authorities have been blocking westbound traffic there since Tuesday evening, he said. Madera is one of the area’s main roads to the 118 Freeway.
The cause of the rupture was not immediately known. There was a similar incident at the same intersection in October 2012, KTLA reported.
