Guard critically injured during shooting at Palmdale marijuana shop
A security guard was critically injured Wednesday at a Palmdale marijuana collective during an apparent robbery attempt, officials said.
At 7:17 p.m., three masked men fired multiple shots outside the Green Cactus Collective in the 3600 block of Sierra Highway, Deputy John Cereoli of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department told The Times.
When sheriff’s deputies arrived, they found the guard on the ground. The suspects had fled the scene.
“They fled in an unknown direction, to an unknown location,” Cereoli said.
The guard was shot multiple times, Cereoli said. He is in critical condition at a local hospital but is expected to survive.
Anyone with information about the crime is encouraged to contact the Palmdale sheriff’s station at (661) 272-2400.
