Hit-and-run in Santa Ana leaves teen with life-threatening injuries
Police in Santa Ana on Saturday asked the public for help finding a motorist who struck a teen and then fled the area.
Officers found the teen lying on Fairview Street, just south of West Civic Center Drive, about 8:20 a.m. The victim, who is 14, has been hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
Investigators believe the car that struck him is a black BMW 3-series built between 2001 and 2006 and equipped with an M-series sports package. Police said witnesses with information on the BMW or its driver should call (714) 245-8214 or 1-855-TIP-OCCS.
