Parolee gets 55 years for sexually assaulting 4-year-old girl
A 47-year-old parolee was sentenced to 55 years in state prison for sexually assaulting a 4-year-old girl, authorities said Monday.
Gordon Ray Bodkin was babysitting the girl, who is a relative, when he attacked her July 23 at her Huntington Beach home, the Orange County district attorney’s office said.
The girl’s father arrived to find his daughter “naked on the bed” and Bodkin “naked from the waist down” as he assaulted the victim, authorities said in a statement.
Bodkin “grabbed his clothing and ran from the home,” authorities said. He was arrested after police received a tip regarding his whereabouts.
Bodkin was convicted in 2009 of residential burglary, according to authorities.
He was also sentenced to lifetime mandatory sex offender registration.
