President Obama is scheduled to arrive in Los Angeles on Monday afternoon for a quick trip that includes appearances at three fundraisers and a tour of DreamWorks Animation SKG.

On Monday night, Obama is to appear at two fundraisers to benefit Democrats running for Congress and the Senate. He will attend the first, a reception at the Beverly Hills home of Earvin “Magic” Johnson, along with Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.). The second event is a dinner at the home of Israeli American billionaire Haim Saban.

On Tuesday morning, the president is scheduled to attend a Democratic fundraiser at the Hancock Park home of Marta Kauffman, creator of the television show “Friends.” That afternoon he is to visit the DreamWorks animation studio in Glendale to tour the site and make a speech about the economy.

Jeffrey Katzenberg, the chief executive of DreamWorks Animation, is one of Obama’s biggest contributors and fundraisers.

A May 2012 fundraiser hosted by Katzenberg at George Clooney’s house raised nearly $15 million for Obama’s reelection campaign. In September, Obama met Katzenberg for dinner at the Hilton Woodland Hills after an appearance by the president on “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.”

The president’s trip to Los Angeles trip is the last stop on a West Coast swing that includes events in Seattle and San Francisco. Obama had planned a similar fundraising trip in September, but it was scrapped because of the government shutdown and possible military action in Syria.
