Motorcyclist killed, passenger seriously injured in Montebello crash
A motorcyclist was killed and his passenger seriously injured Sunday after the bike they were on hit a curb in Montebello, police said.
The driver lost control of the motorcycle while traveling eastbound on the 400 block of E. Avenida De La Merced about 4:40 a.m., according to Montebello police. The motorcycle struck the curb and both the driver and his female passenger were ejected.
The driver was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries. The female passenger was seriously injured but is expected to survive, according to police.
The names of the driver and passenger have not yet been released.
