Search for missing Riverside County boy enters third day
A search was expected to continue Tuesday for a missing 11-year-old Menifee boy last seen over the weekend.
Terry Dewayne Smith is described by law enforcement authorities as an “at-risk” autistic child missing from his home in the 33000 block of Helen Lane, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said.
He has blond hair and blue eyes and was last seen wearing blue basketball shorts. He went missing sometime between 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 10:30 a.m. Sunday, sheriff’s deputies said.
The effort to find the missing boy has included search dogs, helicopters and dozens of volunteers who have scoured the area.
Anyone who may have information regarding Terry’s whereabouts is asked to call the Menifee Investigations Unit at (951) 210-1000 or the Riverside Sheriff’s Department (951) 776-1099.
[For the Record, 9:25 a.m. PDT July 9: A previous headline on this post said the search was entering its second day, but it’s actually the third day.]
