Midnight Mission invites homeless to Easter brunch
Homeless men, women and children are invited to attend an Easter and Passover celebration at the Midnight Mission in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday morning.
The Easter Bunny will present homeless and underprivileged children with baskets full of candy and other treats, and a live band will play. The brunch begins at 10 a.m. at the mission on skid row.
Dick Van Dyke, “Justified” actor Jesse Luken, “The Locket” actress Hillary Hickam and Maya Stojan, a recurring actress on ABC’s “Castle” and “Agents of Shield,” will be among the volunteer kitchen staff. KLOS radio personality Gary Moore will serve as emcee for the proceedings.

The Midnight Mission holds several holiday celebrations for poor and homeless residents throughout the year. Celebrities, athletes, corporate sponsors and regular volunteers help prepare and dish out the food.
