Man found shot to death at Marina del Rey apartment complex
A man was found shot to death early Monday in Marina del Rey, authorities said.
Los Angeles County sheriff’s homicide detectives were called to the Shores apartment complex in the 4200 block of Via Marina at about 3:25 a.m., Sgt. Carmen Arballo said.
Police tape roped off the apartment complex’s parking lot, where the body was discovered, KTLA reported. The chic new apartment complex is near a small beach with a newly installed playground that is known for attracting families.
The victim, who was not immediately identified, was pronounced dead at the scene, Deputy Mark Pope said in a news release.
According to The Times’ Homicide Report, only one homicide has occurred in Marina del Rey since Jan. 1, 2007.
