Gang member sought in slaying outside O.C. bar
Authorities in Orange County are asking the public to help them find a 37-year-old gang member who is suspected of fatally stabbing a man early Monday morning at a Laguna Niguel bar.
Craig Tanber is wanted in the stabbing of 22-year-old Shayan Mazroei during a fight outside Patsy’s Irish Pub in the 28900 block of Street of the Golden Lantern, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
Mazroei was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, sheriff’s officials said.
Investigators say evidence gathered at the crime scene points to Tanber as the suspected killer.
Tanber, who has “a significant criminal history,” is white with brown hair and hazel eyes, according to a description provided by the Sheriff’s Department. He has several tattoos and is known to frequent Huntington Beach and the area around south Orange County. Officials believe he is armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information about Tanber is asked to call 911 or contact the Sheriff’s Department at (714) 647-7000 or (714) 647-7044.
