Baby boy’s death in Lynwood prompts homicide investigation
The death of an infant boy in Lynwood on Tuesday prompted a homicide investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Authorities were called just before 5 p.m. to a home in the 3200 block of Flower Street, according to Sheriff’s Deputy Caroline Rodriguez.
The boy was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Rodriguez said in a statement.
Police did not say what circumstances surrounding the boy’s death generated suspicions about a possible homicide.
No suspects were identified or taken into custody in connection with the child’s death.
