Six months later, family of missing Orange County teen to hold vigils
The family of an Orange County teen missing since last summer will hold vigils in three locations Friday to mark the 6-month anniversary of his disappearance.
Bryce Laspisa, 19, from Laguna Niguel, went missing in the pre-dawn hours of Aug. 30 on an isolated road next to Castaic Lake when his car rolled down an embankment. Laspisa was gone, but all of his possessions, including his phone, wallet and laptop, were left behind.
Family, friends and Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies searched for weeks but never found any sign of Laspisa. Six months on, Laspisa’s parents, Karen and Michael, have continued to hold out hope and update a Facebook page dedicated to finding their son.
Laspisa’s friends and family are hosting vigils in Valencia, where he disappeared; in Rocklin in Northern California, where he went to school; and in Naperville, Ill., where the family is originally from.
Anyone who has information on Laspisa’s whereabouts is asked to call (949) 292-4400 or email [email protected].
