Two killed when vehicle and motorcycle collide in Lancaster
Two people were killed Saturday night when a vehicle and motorcycle collided at an intersection in Lancaster, authorities said.
The collision occurred about 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of 40th Street West and Newgrove Street, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The driver of a 2003 Toyota Prius was traveling southbound on 40th Street West and made a left turn at Newgrove Street, authorities said. The motorcycle was traveling northbound on 40th Street West when it collided with the vehicle in the intersection.
The motorcyclist and the right front passenger of the Prius were killed, authorities said.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
