Lamar Odom’s DUI arraignment is postponed
Basketball star Lamar Odom’s arraignment connected to an alleged DUI was delayed until Oct. 10, a Los Angeles County Superior Court official said.
Odom, a current free agent who played for the Lakers and Clippers and who was named NBA‘s Sixth Man of the Year, was arrested Aug. 30 after he was spotted driving his white Mercedes sport utility vehicle erratically on the 101 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley, authorities said.

His driver’s license was suspended for one year after he refused to take chemical tests intended to determine his possible level and type of intoxication. He has retained famed attorney Robert Shapiro to represent him.
Odom’s personal life has been crumbling under the weight of a reported drug addiction problem. Friday is also his fourth wedding anniversary with Khloe Kardashian of reality show fame. On Friday morning, Kardashian removed the name “Odom” from her Twitter biography and changed it to simply “Khloe.”
He also spoke out for the first time this week since he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, lashing out against his father on Twitter and saying he was going through a “dark time.”
