Man killed in hit-and-run crash in Arleta
Authorities are searching for the driver involved in a hit-and-run crash in Arleta early Saturday that resulted in the death of a 29-year-old motorcyclist.
Steven Joseph Vega of Sylmar was ejected from his Suzuki motorcycle while traveling eastbound on Devonshire Street onto Arleta Avenue shortly after 3 a.m. when a vehicle struck him, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The driver of the other vehicle fled, and authorities have no description of the motorist.
A reward of up to $50,000 is available to those who provide information leading to the motorist’s identification, apprehension and conviction.
