Authorities arrested a gunman who they said was involved in a shootout with Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies late Friday in the City of Industry.
The shootout occurred about 11:55 p.m. in the 13300 block of Crossroads Parkway North, according to Deputy Trina Schrader, a spokeswoman with the sheriff’s department.

The incident began when deputies responded to a call about a man acting suspiciously, Schrader said. When deputies encountered the man, gunfire was exchanged, she said.
The man then fled the scene but deputies, assisted by a search dog, found him about three hours later at another location, Schrader said. He was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries.
It was not clear if he had suffered a gunshot wound, Schrader said.
