LAPD trying to identify armed robber caught on security camera
Los Angeles police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man who has robbed two cellphone stores in El Sereno at gunpoint since last week.
The man is described as a Latino between 30 and 40 years old, about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing between 180 and 220 pounds. His arms are covered in tattoos, including a Japanese demon with horns on his right shoulder and a large “LA” on his right elbow.
He is considered armed and dangerous.
The first robbery occurred on Sept. 5 just before 1 p.m. in the 4600 block of Huntington Drive. Police say the man ran inside with a gun, jumped over the counter, took the money from the register and ordered the employees to the back of the store. He also took their money before fleeing.
Police said he did the same thing on Sunday in the 4800 block of Valley Boulevard about 10 a.m.
Anyone with information on the suspect was asked to call LAPD detectives at (323) 342-8986 or (323) 342-8991.
