Woman found dead in East Hollywood apartment complex damaged in blaze
Firefighters battling a blaze at an East Hollywood apartment building Saturday afternoon discovered a woman dead inside the structure, officials said.
Crews arrived at a two-story building in the 1500 block of Hobart Boulevard about 12:30 p.m. after receiving reports that a person was trapped inside the burning complex.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames in less than 15 minutes, said Erik Scott, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department.

One “elderly” female was found dead inside, he said.
The cause of the fire and the amount of damage to the building is still under investigation, Scott said.
