Two people were injured when a driver smashed into a bus bench in East Los Angeles and allegedly fled on foot, the California Highway Patrol said Wednesday evening.
The two victims were described as a man and a woman and were taken to a hospital, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said. There were no immediate details on their injuries.
The SUV slammed into the bench at Atlantic and Whittier boulevards at 5:18 p.m., the CHP said.
