Car flies off freeway and into yoga studio in Walnut Creek
Two people suffered major injuries when their car flew off the 680 Freeway in Walnut Creek in the San Francisco Bay Area and barreled into a yoga studio, authorities said.
The crash occurred just before midnight Wednesday near the Highway 24 junction and may have been connected to an earlier police pursuit in Lafayette, KTVU-TV reported.

Fortunately for the two people inside the car, the vehicle came to rest on Boulevard Circle next to where two paramedics were sitting in an ambulance awaiting their next call.
“It came to us,” an EMT said to a KTVU reporter in a video posted on Facebook.
The vehicle hit the ground then slammed through the wall of a yoga studio in a large commercial building, TV news video showed. Local building inspectors were at the scene Thursday morning checking the integrity of the structure.
The two people in the car had to be cut from the vehicle and were taken to a hospital, KGO-TV reported.
It was not immediately clear why authorities might have been chasing the car or if the two would be arrested once they were released from the hospital.
