Man’s body pulled from MacArthur Park Lake

The body of a man was recovered from MacArthur Park Lake on Monday and the cause of death may be drowning, police said.

The 30-year-old man was found in the lake about 7:18 a.m. in the 2000 block of West 7th Street in Westlake, said Sgt. Stacey Vandersall of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Rampart Division.

Police did not see any immediate signs of foul play and believe he may have drowned, she said.

The Los Angeles Fire Department assisted in pulling the man’s body from the lake.
