Man’s body found floating in Newport Harbor
Police and coroner’s officials are investigating after a man’s body was found floating in Newport Harbor on Monday morning, according to authorities.
Police were called shortly before 9 a.m. when someone discovered the body in the water at the eastern end of the harbor near River Avenue and 43rd Street, Newport Beach police spokeswoman Jennifer Manzella said.

Authorities think the death was accidental, according to Manzella, who said there were no signs of foul play.
Coroner’s officials are working to identify the body, police said. No further details were available.
