Three arrested on suspicion of murder in slaying of man in Alhambra
Three people have been arrested in the slaying of a man whose body was found in his car in Alhambra by police responding to reports of shots fired.
Police said they discovered the man’s body in a car in a garage in the 300 block of North Monterey Street at about 10:30 p.m. Sunday. He had gunshot wounds to his upper body.
Witnesses who heard the shots reported seeing a man fleeing the area in a white Mercedes-Benz, according to a news release from the Alhambra Police Department.
Police found a loaded handgun nearby and stopped a white Mercedes-Benz that was leaving the area, the department said.
There were three people inside the car, all of whom were arrested on suspicion of murder, police said.
Authorities did not immediately release the victim’s name or the names of those arrested.
The slaying added to a wave of at least 10 shooting or stabbing deaths in Los Angeles County over the weekend.
