Driver killed when car plunges 150 feet off road on Mt. Baldy
One person was killed when a car plunged 150 feet down the mountainside on Mt. Baldy in Angeles National Forest on Tuesday.
Rescue crews were called to scene near Mt. Baldy and Shinn roads about 11:30 p.m., said Robert Diaz, a Los Angeles County Fire Department supervising dispatcher. They arrived to find a vehicle in an embankment, he said.
The car’s occupant was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators were still trying to determine the person’s identity Wednesday morning.
