Man shot and killed in Hyde Park
A man was killed in the Hyde Park neighborhood Saturday night when another man walked up, shot him and fled, according to Los Angeles police.
The shooting occurred at about 11:45 p.m. in front of a home in the 6000 block of 2nd Avenue, a residential street, about a block north of Hyde Park Boulevard.
The 40-year-old victim’s identity will not be publicly disclosed until his family is notified of his death, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County Department of Coroner said.
