Earthquake: 3.5 quake strikes near Lost Hills, Calif.
A shallow magnitude 3.5 earthquake was reported Wednesday evening 18 miles from Lost Hills, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 11:20 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 4.3 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 36 miles from Wasco, 37 miles from Avenal and 38 miles from Atascadero.
In the last 10 days, there have been no earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
