Earthquake: 3.0 quake strikes near Soledad
A shallow magnitude 3.0 earthquake was reported Thursday afternoon 16 miles from Soledad, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 4:35 p.m. at a depth of 2.5 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 19 miles from Hollister, 21 miles from Greenfield, and 27 miles from Salinas.
In the past ten days, there has been one earthquake magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
