Earthquake: 2.8 quake strikes near Malibu
A shallow magnitude 2.8 earthquake was reported Saturday morning six miles from Malibu, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 7:15 a.m. PDT at a depth of 8.1 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was nine miles from both Thousand Oaks and Agoura Hills.
In the last 10 days, there has been one earthquake magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
