Watch it live: Closing arguments begin in AEG-Jackson trial
The Jackson family attorneys were presenting their final argument Tuesday in the Michael Jackson wrongful death case. Widespread attention was focused on the downtown Los Angeles courtroom where the action was taking place.
The trial, being live-streamed, below, will determine whether powerful entertainment conglomerate AEG is liable in Jackson’s death. The pop star died in June 2009. Katherine Jackson, Michael’s mother, and the singer’s three children sued AEG, saying it negligently hired Conrad Murray, the Las Vegas doctor who administered a fatal dose of the anesthetic propofol to help Jackson sleep.
