Many schools that place high on the state's Academic Performance Index, a measure of achievement levels on standardized tests, received low scores in The Times' "value-added" analysis based on those same tests. The map shows schools that placed in the highest and lowest third of L.A. elementary schools on the two measures. Click on the markers to view school scores.
