Play this guessing game on the next L.A. schools superintendent
About two dozen people attended a meeting at the Roybal Learning Center near downtown in October to talk about what they want in a Los Angeles schools chief. Consultant Hank Gmitro, a retired superintendent, led the meeting.
Amid the furor of the tumultuous week at the Los Angeles Unified School District, the school board has been continuing the process of interviewing candidates to become the superintendent of the nation’s second-largest school district.
Though Supt. Ramon C. Cortines remains available for emergencies, he has retired from day-to-day duties.
