Lake Champlain ferry crashes into Vermont dock
Associated Press
GRAND ISLE, Vt. — Authorities say a Lake Champlain ferry has crashed at a dock on the Vermont shore and injuries have been reported.
A Vermont State Police dispatcher confirmed the crash early Friday evening but said he has no further information.
State Rep. Mitzi Johnson says a few of the people injured -- including the boat’s captain -- were being transported to a hospital in Burlington.
The boat was completing a 12-minute trip from Plattsburgh, N.Y. A message left with operator Lake Champlain Transportation was not immediately returned.
