N.Y. Fashion Week: Kate Spade’s Shanghai girls
What: Kate Spade Fall 2014 collection
Inspiration: Creative director Deborah Lloyd’s recent travels to Asia; the juxtaposition of ancient traditions and new technology.
The look: Shanghai blogger.
Key pieces: Cigarette pants and short coats in candy-colored hues; leopard print faux fur coat; embellished sweat shirt: feather-flocked bomber jacket; leopard print button-down shirts; fur-trimmed booties; and a very clever Chinese takeout purse.
The verdict: Not that much newness here.
