Daniel Rose brings Spring in Paris to Orange County
If like me, you’ve always wanted to eat American chef Daniel Rose’s food at his small, much loved restaurant Spring in Paris but could never get into the 29-seat place, now’s the chance.
In one of the odder pairings of chef and restaurant, he’s coming to AnQi Gourmet Bistro & Noodle Bar at South Coast Plaza to cook a special five-course dinner on May 1 to benefit the Friends of James Beard.
He’ll be hosted by Helene and Elizabeth An of the House of An restaurants, which include Crustacean in Beverly Hills. Not many details yet, but stay tuned. In any case, if you’re thinking of attending, better get on the phone and make that reservation. May 1 is just two months away.
For more information about the dinner and reservations, call (714) 557-5679. For updates on the Friends of James Beard benefit dinner, go to AnQi’s facebook page.
As for getting into Spring itself, here’s the drill (from the website): Reservations are accepted by telephone at 33 (0)1 45 96 05 72 between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and from 3 to 6 p.m. on Saturday. Reservations also can be made in person during these same hours. But because “you may find our phone very often occupied, the best way to make a reservation is to send an email to [email protected]. You can be sure we will answer very fast.”
