Cocktail recipe: Hudson’s Fountainhead worth a little reflection
Whether you’re a fan of Ayn Rand or not, the three axioms of her objectivist philosophy (existence, consciousness and identity) can be put to the test in this independent-minded drink from the Hudson called Fountainhead. If your existence becomes too tough, test your consciousness by swallowing a few of these silken cocktails and lose your identity (in a pleasant way) for just a while. With herbaceous gin, tart lemon juice and floral, lavender-tea infused honey, this beverage is sure to ease you into a relaxed zone where you are the supreme ruler of your own cozy domain.

NOTE: Adapted from a recipe by Brian Simpson at the Hudson. For lavender-tea infused honey, the Hudson brews strong lavender tea, steeping it until it is a very deep shade of purple, and then mixes the tea with equal parts honey and cools before using.
