Twitter #Weekendeats highlights: Sugar rush
To put it lightly, Mondays suck. There’s no getting around it. Except, maybe, if you can fit in enough sugar fixes to forget what day it is. We’re here to help. Monday morning’s #Weekendeats chat on Twitter was full of treats sure to give you a rush. Here are the highlights:
#Weekendeats newcomers VillageRootsVT.com shared a fun video recipe for what they call Daddy-O’s Birthday French Macarons, Brooks Walker from CakeWalkr.com shared a recipe for Meyer lemon, cranberry and pistachio scones with chef Dennis and the Cooking Bride shared a recipe for buttermilk pancakes with orange syrup.
Meghan, also known as the Buttercream Blondie, shared a recipe for Bailey’s Irish Cream brownies, Greg MacIntosh from Lifesapicnic.blogspot.com shared a photo of his glowing apricot danish, and Kelly Mathews shared a picture of what she called “maybe the best cheesecake ever” from Bar Pintxo.
Here’s a recipe for a vegan, gluten-free Shamrock shake made with coconut milk and creme de menthe from the Adirondack Chick and a beautiful chocolate yeast cake and roulade from Shulie Madnick of FoodWanderings.com.
Please join in by tweeting your #Weekendeats at us Monday morning @latimesfood and share your photos with us in our “Weekend Eats” gallery. We’ll feature some of the photos here on Daily Dish, so be sure to check back for more #Weekendeats and #Foodporn throughout the week.
Hope to see everyone next Monday morning on Twitter! It’s sure to be a drool-worthy good time.
