Tax day 2016 specials: 66-cent martinis, $1 Old Fashioneds, $1 oysters
Monday is tax day (it’s usually April 15), in case you needed a reminder. Maybe you paid the government some money this year; maybe you got a refund. Either way, a 66-cent martini and a dozen $1 oysters sounds like a good idea. Here are some places around town offering tax day specials.
1933 Group: The following bars will have $1 Old Fashioned cocktails from 5 to 7 p.m.: Harlowe, Sassafras, Bigfoot West, Bigfoot Lodge, Thirsty Crow, Oldfield’s. La Cuevita will have $1 Tequila Press cocktails.
Art of Tea has a tax day 15% discount code for online orders of Happy Tea or the Feel Better tea blend on its website. The code is TAXDAY15.
Boston Market has priced its half chicken individual meal with two sides, cornbread, a regular fountain drink and a cookie at $10.40. Multiple locations at www.bostonmarket.com.
Dog Haus — both Pasadena locations and the Dog Haus on Olive Avenue in Burbank and on 3rd Street in Long Beach — will have $1 PBRs. Multiple locations at www.doghaus.com.
Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood on Hollywood Boulevard will give any customer who breaks out in song on the cafe stage between 5 and 7 p.m. a free Legendary Burger and fries. La Dolce Vita in Beverly Hills is launching a Throwback Thursday special on tax day with 66-cent martinis and Old Fashioneds.
