McDonald’s offers new vegetarian wraps, but only in Canada
McDonald’s in Canada is offering its first new vegetarian entrees in more than a decade. The fast-food chain began selling two new vegetarian McWrap flavors Tuesday, reported the Canadian National Post.
One of the new flavors is a Mediterranean wrap, made with garlic hummus, feta cheese, tomatoes, cucumber, red onions, lettuce, crispy onion strings and a “creamy Mediterranean sauce.”
The other is a Santa Fe wrap with fire-roasted corn, black beans, cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses, tomatoes, red onions, lettuce, tortilla chips and a chili-lime glaze and southwest sauce.

Both wraps are being sold for $4.39, but they won’t be making their way to the U.S. -- at least not yet.
“McDonald’s is always looking to enhance and evolve our menu offerings and meet our customers’ needs and expanding the Premium McWrap line with new flavors is a future possibility,” said Ofelia Casillas, media relations manager at McDonald’s. “We also encourage customers to customize their menu orders when eating at McDonald’s and the Premium McWrap is no exception.”
In the U.S., customers can currently order the sweet chili chicken, the chicken bacon, and the chicken ranch McWraps. Casillas suggests ordering each without chicken for a vegetarian option.
