“Master Chef” judge Graham Elliot shows off 128-pound weight loss on Twitter
Chicago-based chef Graham Elliot is showing off his new physique. The “Master Chef” judge took to Twitter on Thursday to share a photo of his drastic weight loss results after undergoing a sleeve gastrectomy in July.
Elliot tweeted that he now weighs 268 pounds. He was at 396 pounds four months ago when he had the surgery. In a then-and-now picture, Elliot is seen at his heaviest on the left, and 128 pounds lighter on the right, in workout gear.
“I will feel full quicker because my stomach is that much smaller,” Elliot told People magazine before the laparoscopic surgery. “I won’t need six cheeseburgers to feel full.”
Elliot struggled with the decision to have the surgery, but eventually decided it was the best course of action.
“Because of my line of work, the doctor specifically thinks this is the surgery best suited for me,” said Elliot. “With gastric bypass and other surgeries, there’s some ingredients you can’t eat because it will cause you to get sick. This procedure will allow me to still taste and try everything.”
Now Elliot regularly tweets photos of his new exercise routines. He recently finished a 5K with his wife Allie in November, and likes to take morning hikes with his family.
