Video: Watch the In-N-Out vs. Shake Shack rivalry play out in a rap battle
West Coasters know In-N-Out is better than Shake Shack on any given Sunday (every day). But FastCompany.com decided to let the East Coast vs. West Coast burger rivalry play out in an epic rap battle.
The video pits In-N-Out, Umami, Fatburger and Habit on the West against White Castle, Five Guys and Shake Shack on the East.
For one, we also have Plan Check, Father’s Office, Apple Pan and Pie ‘n Burger (insert your favorite West Coast burger joint here) to add to the mix. So boom, we win. But let’s entertain this no-merit-because-we-obviously-win rivalry for just a second.
The video does make some good points. For one, the West Coast is accused of hiding the taste of its burger with guacamole, jalapenos, coleslaw and something called bean paste. Yes, we’ve got a lot of burger toppings to choose from. It’s because we’re creative.
Is the East Coast too hipster or artisanal with its burgers? We’re guilty of having artisanal ketchup too. Downtown hipsters and ketchup leather lovers represent.
Everyone has a favorite burger, and is entitled to an opinion. We just ask that you be honest with yourself when watching the video above. Then proclaim your own winner (In-N-Out).
