Like free food? Where to get free bibimbap and kale burgers
if you’re on a budget, free food tastes better. Here are two restaurants celebrating new locations with freebies. Enjoy.
Bibigo, the Korean fast-casual restaurant that once had a food truck tour with Korean pop sensation Psy (the guy who brought you “Gangnam Style”), is opening a new location at the Glendale Galleria. And to celebrate? Free bibimbap for everyone.
The restaurant, which will feature build-your-own bibimbap sizzling rice bowls, is having a grand opening Nov. 30. All day opening day, the restaurant will be giving away free bowls of its classic bibimbap, which come with vegetables, meat, rice and kimchi. If you’re one of the first 300 customers, you’ll also receive a bottle of the restaurant’s gochujang chile sauce. 100 W. Broadway, Glendale, www.us.bibigo.com/.
Fala Bar, the Melrose Avenue vegan restaurant, is opening a new location on Abbot Kinney Boulevard, in the former Chop Daddy’s space, Saturday. This means more falafel for Venice, and a day of free kale falafel burgers.
The Venice location will give away free kale burgers to the first 50 guests on opening day. All burgers are also 50% all day. 1146 Abbot Kinney Blvd., Los Angeles, www.falabar.com/.
