Paris Fashion Week Fall 2013: Viktor and Rolf review
PARIS — Viktor and Rolf brought their avant-garde vision down to size for their Fall 2013 collection, which they showed Saturday afternoon during Paris Fashion Week.
The look: Ladylike with a bit of an edge. A study in black and white, with nods to mod and punk in a refined way. A focus on large, decorative bows, which were incorporated into the bodices or sleeves of crisp white shirts, single-sleeve cocktail dresses and one good-looking black leather jacket. Sixties-inspired, drop-waist jumper dress. Quilted nylon skater skirt. Coats and gowns with haute lace holes, fraying rips and tears.
The verdict: Not a major fashion moment by any means, but some perfectly pretty clothes.
