Frank Ocean is featured in Band of Outsiders’ ad campaign
Singer and songwriter Frank Ocean is the latest celebrity to be featured in one of Band of Outsiders’ shot-on-Polaroid ad campaigns -- a series of images shot by the brand’s founder and creative director Scott Sternberg at the Los Angeles Times building in downtown L.A.
The images depict the two-time Grammy winner (who wore a custom yellow Band of Outsiders tux during a performance at the 55th Grammy Awards in February) modeling an assortment of looks from Band’s spring and summer 2013 men’s collection at various locations throughout Times HQ.
(For the record, we didn’t have anything to do with choosing the locale for the shoot and it should go without saying that no endorsement or support should be construed or implied by it.)
The first couple of photos -- including one of Ocean in a tuxedo with Los Angeles City Hall in the background -- were posted to the brand’s Tumblr and Instagram accounts and website Wednesday, with the promise that additional photos would be added daily through Sunday.
Seasonal campaigns have featured Josh Brolin (Fall 2012), Ed Ruscha (Spring 2012), and Tom Felton and Rupert Grint (Fall 2011) on the men’s side and Amy Adams (Fall 2012), Michelle Williams (Spring 2012) and Elena Anaya (Fall 2011).
