Recipe: Rideau’s Southern Breeze
Total Time: 5 minutes
Servings: 8 to 10
Note: This drink is made with Rideau Riesling, which has 1% residual sugar, meaning it is not sweet. Substitute other similar Riesling.
1 (750-milliliter) bottle Riesling
3 cups club soda
4 ounces peach brandy (1/2 cup)
4 ounces triple sec (1/2 cup)
1 1/2 ounces grenadine (3 tablespoons)
Fresh peaches, sliced, for garnish
Mint leaves for garnish
Combine the Riesling, soda, brandy, triple sec and grenadine in a punch bowl and add ice. Float peach slices on top and decorate with mint leaves or mint sprigs. If serving in glasses, put a wedge of sliced peach on each glass, or in the glass, with a mint sprig on the side of the glass.
