The Taste’s Picnic: Thomas Keller, Nancy Silverton and Zoe Nathan
Catch chefs Thomas Keller, Nancy Silverton and Zoe Nathan at the Taste’s Picnic on Labor Day. The Los Angeles Times’ three-day food festival features five events: Field to Fork, Cocktail Confidential, Flavors of L.A., Dinner & Drinks and the Labory Day Picnic. The Picnic, co-hosted by L.A. Times Test Kitchen manager Noelle Carter and Nathan of Milo & Olive and Huckleberry Cafe, will celebrate classic and exotic interpretations of the sandwich, and will feature an ice cream social. It wraps up the festival on Monday, Sept. 3, with cooking demonstrations from Silverton of Mozza and Nathan, as well as Judy Han of Mendocino Farms. L.A. Times Food Editor Russ Parsons will be there to lead a conversation with Keller.
Sept. 3, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is the only “all ages” Taste event (all others 21 and older). Children ages 12 and under are free with paid adult. Tickets are $50; early-bird pricing ends Aug. 6, then goes up to $65 in advance, $75 at the door. www.events.latimes.com/taste
